To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many letters and representations the Government have received in support of pardons for soldiers in the great war who were found guilty of charges under the Army Acts who subsequently were executed.

Since 1989 the Ministry of Defence has received some 189 requests from Members of Parliament and members of the public for pardons for the soldiers who were executed during the first world war.
