§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 1 November 1993]: The cost of employing management consultants to assist in the assessment of applications for trust status was £97,760. There have been two assessments; the consultants involved were KPMG for second wave trust applications and Coopers and Lybrand for third wave applications.
