§ Mr. SackvilleThe Department's guidance to English health authorities on their role in nuclear emergency planning is contained in the circular HC(89)8 and its annex, copies of which are available in the Library. Earlier this month, the circular was amended to include revised guidance to health authorities on planning for the distribution of potassium iodate tablets for use in the event of a nuclear emergency. Copies of this amendment will be placed in the Library.
