To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards the sale of arms to Iraq.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

We strictly implement the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council under which the sale of arms to Iraq has been prohibited since 6 August 1990.
