§ Mr. BennettTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment what effect the market-testing programme at the Health and Safety Executive headquarters at Bootle is expected to have on the numbers of staff employed by the executive.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythGiven the competitive nature of market testing, it is not possible to predict the outcome of particular tests. Tests completed or approaching completion which affect staffing at the Health and Safety Executive's Bootle headquarters show a saving of four posts. A further 99 posts are covered by market tests now in hand.
§ Mr. BennettTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment what restrictions have been placed on the recruitment of Health and Safety Executive staff since August.
