To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the level of unemployment in Northern Ireland.

§ Mr. Atkins
At 9 September 1993 there were 108,003 unemployed claimants in Northern Ireland—14.4 per cent. of the work force—representing a decrease of 1,388 compared with the previous month and a decrease of 2,383 compared with September 1992.
