§ Mr. BowisInformation provided by local authorities to joint monitoring teams from the social services inspectorate and regional health authorities indicates that in September some authorities in London were predicting that they would spend the full amount of their special transitional grant, some less and some more. This information was sought on the understanding that it would only be published in aggregate. The distribution of next year's special transitional grant will be announced in due course.
