§ Mr. BoswellThe adult literacy and basic skills Unit is currently developing a new family literacy initiative, for which my right hon. Friend has announced funding of £250,000 in the current financial year. Family literacy programmes will help parents with literacy difficulties to improve their own literacy skills and at the same time to support the development of their children's literacy skills.
