§ Mr. MorleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the names of the consultants appointed by the forestry review group and their terms of reference; to whom they will report; how much they will cost; which Government Department is paying for the consultants; and what is the consultants' reporting timetable,
§ Sir Hector Monro[holding answer 25 October 1993]: The forestry review group has appointed three firms of consultants: Samuel Montagu and Co. Ltd., financial consultants, which is being assisted by Jaakko Poyry; John Clegg and Co., land agents; and Environmental Resources Management, environmental consultants. The terms of reference are confidential as they support the development of policy advice to Ministers. The costs will be paid by the Forestry Commission but the amount is commercially sensitive. The consultants will report on a timetable which will enable the review group to advise Ministers early next year.
