asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Minister for Energy has replied to the letter dated 4th August 1993 from the Chairman of his Advisory Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations in which concern was expressed about the growing potential for accidental nuclear releases and, if so, whether they will place copies in the Libraries of both Houses of Parliament.

The Minister for Energy replied to the letter from the then Chairman of the Advisory Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations on 14th October; a copy of each letter has already been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
