Mr. Cohen

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if she will make it her policy to support amendments to the London convention to permanently ban the dumping of radioactive waste at sea at the meeting of contracting parties being held in London on 8 to 12 November.

(2) if she will make it her policy to support amendments to the London convention to permanently ban the dumping of industrial waste at sea;

(3) if she will make it her policy to support amendments to the London convention to permanently ban ocean incineration of waste.

At the forthcoming consultative meeting of the London convention we will seek to facilitate the use of the best practical environmental option for the disposal of all types of wastes.
