HC Deb 01 November 1993 vol 231 cc83-4W
Mr. Austin Walker

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many applications for severe disability allowance from women who have reached the age of 60 years have been received and are currently awaiting determination; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Scott

The information requested is not available.

Following the Court of Appeal's decision in the case of Thomas and Others (July 1990), claims for severe disablement allowance from women aged between 60 and 65 have been determined in the same way as for men of the same age.
