§ Mr. McMasterTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the use and development of horticulture as a therapeutic treatment within the national health service in Scotland.
§ Mr. StewartThe national health service has long understood the part that horticultural work can play in the treatment programmes of, for example, patients with a mental illness or learning difficulty. Decisions about its use and development are however a matter for NHS provider units based on identified clinical needs.
