§ Mr. McLoughlinIn 1991, the Departments of Employment and Transport commissioned M DSTransmodal and Pieda plc to undertake a study into the effects on the port industry of the abolition of the dock labour scheme.
A report on the study is being prepared for publication. It is anticipated that the report will be published this year, and I will ensure that copies of the report are placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
