To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what was the number and class of submarines in service in the Royal Navy on 10 May.

The Royal Navy's submarine fleet on 10 May consisted of three Polaris, one Valiant, five Swiftsure, seven Trafalgar, three Oberon and three Upholder Class submarines giving a total of 22 boats.
