To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will take steps to encourage headmasters to exclude disruptive pupils from school when it can be shown that the continued admission of such pupils deleteriously affects the education of other pupils in the school.

Head teachers already have the power to exclude a pupil on disciplinary grounds where they deem it an appropriate response to serious misbehaviour.
