To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the mines in the next century project and United Kingdom participation in it.

§ Mr. Aitken
Mines in the next century—MINX—is the name given to the project to study the replacement for the United Kingdom's existing anti-tank mine from the year 2001. We are currently considering the options for this.
