HC Deb 26 May 1993 vol 225 c574W
Mr. Wareing

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received about the existence of a detention camp at Gospic in Croatia; what action he has taken about the matter; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs has received no representations. We remain in close touch with the International Committee of the Red Cross about its work in identifying, securing access to and progressively closing detention camps in former Yugoslaia. If any new evidence is brought forward of detention centres, we would immediately pass it on to the relevant organisations.
