What fiscal arrangements there are to encourage owners of Caledonian pine forests to promote regeneration of native pine woods and whether their effectiveness is under review.

Grants are available under the Woodland Grant Scheme to encourage the creation of new native pinewoods and the management and regeneration of existing ones. The effectiveness of these grants will be considered in the review of the current incentives for forestry investment, which is part of the work of the Forestry Review Group.
