§ Mr. ForthThis poem was not prescribed for study as part of any syllabus published by the University of London Examinations and Assessment Council. I understand that it was selected by one school as one of the poems to be studied and written about under a syllabus which left the choice to the school. The selection by schools of material for study is a matter for the school concerned, but having read the poem I believe that it was unsuitable and regrettable.
