HC Deb 24 May 1993 vol 225 cc471-2W
Mr. Ainger

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will initiate an inquiry into the reasons why Withybush general hospital's roof needs substantial repair; who will supervise the repairs; what is the estimated cost of supervision; what will be the cost of the repair; who will pay for it; and which organisation supervised the construction of the new roof.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

This is a contractual matter which is being pursued by the Welsh Health Common Services Authority. The contractor has accepted responsibility for the remedial work to the roof and the authority is seeking to recover any indirect costs that may accrue in order that the work will be completed at no cost to the Pembrokeshire National Health Service Trust. Supervision of the remedial work remains the responsibility of the architects for the scheme.
