§ Mr. MichaelTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will provide a table or tables showing the list of those police forces regarding which a representation has been received urging that it be merged with another force(a) since he took office as Home Secretary and (b) in each of the previous 10 years; and how many representations in each case were made by (i) the police authority, (ii) the chief constable, (iii) serving police officers, (iv) local authorities, (v) magistrates, (vi) members of the public and (vii) other organisations.
