HC Deb 24 May 1993 vol 225 c460W
Mr. Maginnis

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he expects to introduce legislation which will enable the Government to collect and release information about the charitable status of organisations in Northern Ireland and which will bring that part of the United Kingdom into line with England, Scotland and Wales.

Mr. Mates

The Government are reviewing the law relating to charities in Northern Ireland and this review will include the arrangements for the provision of information on charities to the public. Any proposals for a change in legislation will be presented in due course and consultation will take place in the normal way.
