HC Deb 20 May 1993 vol 225 cc273-4W
Mr. McMaster

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to introduce a system of dowry funding to the community care arrangements in Scotland equivalent to that operated in other parts of the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stewart

[holding answer 19 May 1993]: My right hon. Friend has no such plans. In Scotland we have adopted alternative arrangements to facilitate the transfer of resources from health boards to local authorities to reflect the shift in the balance or responsibilities that is which includes a breakdown of sub-contractors and work force engaged on the contract. The proportion of local sub-contractors and labour can be determined from the details given.
