§ Dr. MawhinneyA research proposal for a study into the incidence of anophthalmia in Great Britain has been received by the Department from Dr. Paul Elliott, the head of the environmental epidemiology unit at the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine. This proposal is being considered by external referees. The proposed length of the study is 18 months and the team would be expected to report shortly after that.
