To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many children there were at the most convenient date in each year since 1977; and how many of them were aged on those dates(a) under one year, (b) between one and four years, (c) between five and nine years, (d) between 10 and 14 years and (e) between 15 and 17 years.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what research has been undertaken by her Department into the feasibility of developing a non-fault compensation scheme to deal with claims of medical negligence affecting children born with a disability.
