To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the planned expenditure by his Department on trunk roads in(a) Dyfed and (b) Wales in each of the next five years.

Central Government provision for trunk roads in Wales In 1993–94 is £194 million. An analysis by county is not available as the programme is subject to changing engineering, statutory and financial considerations.

Provision for future years will be announced in the usual way.
