What was the average cost of having an NHS abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy in each of the last three years for which figures are available.

Abortions performed in the National Health Service in the first trimester of pregnancy are generally carried out as a daycare procedure. At current prices, the estimated average cost of such an abortion in England, taking account of capital charges, is as follows:
