§ Mr. David HuntEstimates from the labour force survey in autumn 1992 show that the numbers of part-time women and men in employment are 258,000 and 48,000 respectively. Of these, 21 per cent. of women and 25 per cent. of men are aged between 50 and 65 years.
443WPart-time work is defined to be that in which staff are contracted to work basic usual hours of up to 30 hours per week.
