HC Deb 11 May 1993 vol 224 cc389-90W
Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what account she took, in her decision to relocate the English National Board of Nursing and Midwifery from Sheffield to London, of the 1989 review by Peat Marwick McLintock, particularly the recommendations contained in pages 91 and 95; if she will re-examine her decision; and if she will make a statement.

Mr. Sackville

The English National Board for Nursing Midwifery and Health Visiting has not made a decision on relocation from Sheffield to London.

Mr. Yeo

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State announced on 2 March that she planned to amend regulations to enable the private and voluntary sectors to provide secure accommodation. We propose to issue a consultation document shortly setting out options for taking this work forward.
