Whether they have anything to add to the Answer given by Baroness Chalker of Wallasey in the Official Report (col. WA1) on 26th April on the subject of sanctions breaking allegations in Serbia and Montenegro.
§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyIn a meeting on 4th May with the Greek Foreign Minister in London, my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs underlined the importance of maintaining pressure on the Serbs through the tight enforcement of United Nations sanctions. On 29th April the Bulgarian National Assembly expressed its full support for United Nations Security Council Resolution 820. We shall continue to stress to all governments that the obligations placed upon them by mandatory Security Council resolutions must be met. We shall bring to the attention of governments concerned any evidence of sanctions breaches. We continue to press for measures to tighten the enforcement of sanctions and have decided to increase our contribution to the sanctions assistance missions in states neighbouring Serbia and Montenegro from four customs officers to 15.
