§ Mr. Ron Davies
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list those EC countries operating restrictions on specified offals.

§ Mr. Soames
According to information collected by the European Commission in April 1991, in addition to the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands have a ban on the feeding of specified bovine offals to ruminants.
The export of the specified bovine offals from the United Kingdom to other member states is prohibited.

§ Mr. Ron Davies
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list those EC countries that have recorded incidences of BSE.

§ Mr. Soames
In addition to the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and France have confirmed cases of BSE in indigenous cattle, and there has been a single case of BSE in Denmark in a cow which had been imported from the United Kingdom.
