§ Mr. Robin Squire[holding answer 29 April 1993]: I will make an estimate of the level of community charge arrears 40W for all local authorities at 31 March 1993 once collection figures for the fourth quarter of 1992–93 are available. There is insufficient information available centrally to make a reliable estimate for each local authority. However, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy regularly publishes estimates for individual authorities: figures for 31 March 1991 and 31 March 1992 are available in the Library of the House.
