HC Deb 31 March 1993 vol 222 cc251-2W
Mr. Nigel Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what was the average number of unemployed in each travel-to-work area in Gloucestershire in each year since 1979; and what percentage of the work force this represented.

Mr. McLoughlin

The information requested is available from 1983 and can be obtained from the NOMIS database in the Library.

Travel-to-work-areas do not correspond exactly to county boundaries. Gloucestershire is made up of the TTWAs of Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester plus parts of Cheltenham, Evesham, Cinderford and Ross-on-Wye, Malvern and Ledbury and Swindon.
