To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many unemployed people have taken part in the voluntary projects programme in Wales each year since 1986–87.

The voluntary projects programme (VPP) ceased in 1988 when it was subsumed by employment training.

Details of the number of participants are available only for 1987–88 when 11,000 participated in the scheme on 24 projects.
