§ Mr. MilliganTo ask the President of the Board of Trade what action he will take to ensure that all projects supported by the EC cohesion instrument and fund comply with EC environmental legislation and policy.
§ Mr. EggarThe regulation governing the cohesion financial instrument will require the Commission to satisfy itself, before approving a project and during its implementation, that it complies with EC environmental legislation and policies, including where appropriate the carrying out of environmental impact assessments.
