§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what statutory provisions governs the responsibility of the Welsh Development Agency in respect of the conservation of flora, fauna, landscape and physiographical features.
§ Mr. David HuntThe agency is subject to the same provisions as apply to other public bodies.
§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) which members of the Welsh Development Agency since 1975 were appointed because of their experience of and capacity in matters relating to the environment;
(2) if he will list the existing members of the Welsh Development Agency showing which have experience of, and have shown capacity in, industry, commerce, banking, accountancy, finance, the organisation of representation of workers, administration, local government and matters relating to the environment respectively.
§ Mr. David HuntAppointments to the board of the agency are made on the basis of an individual's overall experience and expertise and having regard to the terms of the Welsh Development Agency Act 1975. Such appointments are rarely dependent on a single attribute.
