§ Mr. AitkenI am pleased to announce that a contract to supply and maintain 6,000 management radios for the Royal Air Force has today been awarded to Phillips Communications Systems Ltd in Cambridge. Contractual details are commercially confidential but the approximate value of the contract is £13 million. The contract was won by Phillips in competition. The radios will be used for secure local communications on RAF bases.
