HL Deb 29 March 1993 vol 544 cc38-9WA
Lord Spens

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Who were the members of the Licensed Dealers Tribunal in the matter of TWH Management Limited and in the matter of the Prevention of Fraud (Investment) Act 1958 in December 1988 and what were their occupations and qualifications for the tribunal.

The Earl of Caithness

The Prevention of Fraud (Investments) Act 1958, which has now been repealed, required that there be two legally qualified members of the Licensed Dealers Tribunal appointed by the Lord Chancellor (one of whom was the Chairman) and a third member with accountancy qualifications, who was appointed by the Treasury. It is not usual practice for the names of tribunal members to be made public.
