HL Deb 29 March 1993 vol 544 c38WA
Lord Hollick

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is their response to the recent survey by the National Association of Health Authorities and Trusts which revealed that 72 per cent. of health authorities, 98 per cent. of hospitals and 78 per cent. of family health services authorities thought resources provided for community care were inadequate.

Baroness Cumberlege

Respondents to this survey were asked if they had identified any additional pressures on their budgets as a result of new community care arrangements. They were not asked about the adequacy of the funding. We believe that we have made adequate additional provision next year to meet those pressures and enable new arrangements to be put in place.
