HC Deb 29 March 1993 vol 222 c52W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his response to proposals to establish Bletchley Park as a memorial to those who worked there during world war II.

Mr. Howard

I have made it clear that I welcome the proposal to create at Bletchley Park a visible memorial to the war-time activities that took place there. The Bletchley Park Trust is at present reviewing its plans for such a development, including purchase of the site owned by the Government and BT once this becomes surplus to requirements later this year. I look forward to constructive discussions with the trust.
