Mr. Battle

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will give the number of his Department's residential properties which have been sold as a proportion of(a) those which are unoccupied and (b) those which are occupied by redundant service personnel remaining in married quarters.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

The information is not available in the form requested. My Department has a rolling programme to dispose of all properties that are surplus to its long-term requirements.
