§ Sir Wyn RobertsData on the absence of teachers in maintained secondary schools in Wales were collected as part of the 1989 secondary school staffing survey. The percentage of tuition time affected by short term absences of teachers for reasons other than in-service training or other professional duties was recorded as four per cent. No data on teacher absence are available from the 1986 survey. No data are available for primary schools.
