§ Dr. MawhinneyThe Department is committed to the investment of £170 million additional expenditure on primary care capital development in the London initiative zone over the next six years. This will include a shift in the balance of investment in London towards primary care, in line with the proposals for change set out in "Making London Better". We will be looking at the pattern of funding required year by year in consultation with the four Thames regional health authorities.
