§ Mr. McLoughlinThe Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has initiated investigations into the incidents that occured at Allied Colloids on 21 July and Hickson and Welch on 21 September 1992 respectively. The investigations involve the companies concerned very closely and attempt to identify the causes of the incidents and what precautions and remedial measures should be taken to prevent a recurrence. Discussions on the lessons to be learnt are continuing; HSE will publish separate reports on each of its investigations.
