§ 23. Mr. Simon Coombs
To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many national health service trusts are due to start in the Wessex region in April; and if she will make a statement.

§ Dr. Mawhinney
From 1 April 1993 10 units will become operational as national health service trusts in Wessex. This will bring the total number of trusts in the region to 22.

§ 28. Mr. Garnier
To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many NHS trusts are due to start work in the Trent region in April; and if she will make a statement.

§ Dr. Mawhinney
From 1 April 1993 16 units will become operational as national health service trusts in Trent. This will bring the total number of NHS trusts in the region to 29.
