HC Deb 23 March 1993 vol 221 c543W
Mr. Enright

To ask the Secretary of State for Education what assessment he has made as to how many hours per week, on average, secondary school students spend on school work at home; and what information he has on the equivalent figures for the United States of America, France, Germany and Japan.

Mr. Forth

Arrangements for setting homework are left to the discretion of individual schools and LEAs and there is no centrally held information on the time that pupils spend on this.
