To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how he ensures that the requirement of the Welsh Development Agency Act 1975, insofar as it relates to the members of the agency having experience of matters relating to the environment, is met.

Mr. David Hunt

The Act requires that members of the agency have wide experience in one or more of a number of fields, including the environment. In making appointments to the agency's board, I have regard to these requirements.
