HC Deb 18 March 1993 vol 221 c379W
Ms Walley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will review the 21 hours rule regarding eligibility for payment of benefit to those wishing to study for fewer than 21 hours per week and who are out of work.

Mr. Burt

The 21-hour rule enables unemployed claimants of income support to follow part-time education courses while continuing their search for work. We have no plans to review this rule.
