To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Falmouth and Camborne (Mr. Coe) of 9 March,Official Report, columns 512–13, what proposals he has in relation to the funding of and responsibility for the international initiatives fund, as regards its repartition between English, Scottish and Welsh arts organisations.

From 1994–95 the funding for the international initiatives fund, which is currently administered by the Arts Council of Great Britain, will be shared out amongst the English, Scottish and Welsh arts councils in the following proportions: England 83.7 per cent, Scotland 10.45 per cent. and Wales 5.85 per cent.

Arrangements will be put in place to facilitate policy and executive coherence between the three arts councils on international work.
